NEW INCREDIBLE CHESS VARIANT CREATION TOOL! READ ASAP!!!!
« on: January 08, 2018, 09:41:36 am »
I can hardly write this is SO exciting!  :o

I'm sure you have all heard of Musketeer chess, probably the most successful commercial variant company currently, and they might be joining the forum to ask us about recommendations for future products (camels, lions etc, the creation of new variant pieces will be in the palm of our hands)!!

BUT THAT'S NOT THE HALF OF IT!

I went on their website and found a FREE TO USE tool that will revolutionize chess variant construction and explanation! It is called the board painter tool and you can do all sorts of amazing things like depict custom piece movement, set any custom board size ETC!!!!! I plopped some of the LITERALLY HUNDREDS OF AVAILABLE CHESS PIECES on a classic 8x12 board below, GO CHECK THIS OUT RIGHT NOW!

    • Musketeer Chess & Other Chess Variants
Hi
Thanks for having mentioned the work of my team. In fact, we made this tool free because we thought it could be useful for all of us when creating or editing chess variants using classic x-y boards: http://musketeerchess.net/tools/boardpainter/

We also have another tool for omega-like variants (with 4 squares added on the corners), you will find it in this other link http://musketeerchess.net/tools/boardpainter/cerebral.php

I always use WinBoard/XBoard for that.
